- If you are going to rent a car in Lago di Como, something to keep in mind would be that the accommodation has free parking, since we will not have to opt for paid parking, with the consequent increase in the daily budget.
- If you opt for Como as a base for the trip to Lake Como, it is best to look for an accommodation that is well located, preferably in the downtown area, since this way you will have near the area from which the boats that travel along Lake Como depart , like you will be near cafes and restaurants
- Traveling to Lago di Como in summer, when it is high season, assures us that prices will be much higher than if we do it at other times of the year, even so, we can find accommodations that meet 3B "Good, Nice and Cheap" and don't suppose an ax to our budget.
- One of the most recommended options for sleep on Lake Como It is an apartment, whether traveling as a couple, with friends or family, especially if it has a kitchen, since this will allow you to make breakfast or dinner and thus lower your budget.
- If the apartment has a washing machine, we will save ourselves by hand washing or carrying more clothes than necessary. Something that we must also take into account, especially if we travel with a low cost company with which you have to be especially careful with the weight of the luggage.

Our choice of accommodation on Lake Como was the B&B Al Porticciolo di Sant'Agostino.
