I do not know if it is the decadent air that is breathed in its streets, the walks at sunset along the banks of the Douro, the food (my mother is so rich!) But Porto has made us fall in love!

We visited her along with our crazy friends Soufi and Cantellone when we were young and handsome. Later, Lety returned again and again older, mature and even more beautiful, for work reasons (because you don't believe that we only backpack that the mendas here also work!).

If you have scheduled a trip to the second most important city in Portugal, write these 25 things to see and do in Porto. And if you don't have it programmed ... think about it you'll love it.

First things first: sign up for this free tour (yes, leave a tip ehhh), it will allow you to begin to know this magical Portuguese city. It lasts € 2.5 and is in Spanish. Safety pin!

1 / Take a photo with the most famous monument in the city: the bridge of Luis I. Our favorite corner of the city without a doubt!

2 / Walk through the Avenue of the Allies, where the City Hall and many modernist palaces are located.

3 / If you are passionate about oenology, or simply want to have a good wine, go to one of the wineries of Vila Nova de Gaia, Or you can sign up for a winery and vineyard tour.

4 / And of course ... take a port glass, his most famous wine. Be careful because it hits a lot!

5 / Visit the Sé Cathedral, the largest and most important in the city.

If you have little time on your visit to Porto, a very good option is to take a tour that takes you to know the main attractions of the city. This includes hotel pick-up, transfers, Spanish guide, visit of the essentials and tickets, port wine tasting in a winery, food and cruise on the Duero. Although you can also opt for a free tour.

6 / If your feet ask for a break, you can ride the tram 22 That makes a super cool tour.

7 / Walk through the Sao Bento station where there are not only trains ... its interior looks like a museum thanks to its 20,000 tiles that show the history of Portugal.

8 / Do not miss the Stock Exchange Palace, one of the most beautiful in Porto.

9 / If you want to enjoy good views of the city, without leaving it, climb the 200 steps of the Clérigos Tower and enjoy! It costs € 5 and you can buy the ticket without a queue here.

10 / To have a different view of the city, get on a cruise on the Douro.

11 / An interesting stop is the Lello e Irmao bookshop, in Rua das Carmelitas nº 144. In this bookshop, scenes of Harry Potter were filmed and it is a true paradise for book lovers.

12 / If you like art, one of the most interesting museums is that of Soares dos Reis.

13 / If you already know the main things about Porto (or have more time), go to the Foz area, where you can face the Atlantic Ocean itself.

14 / Explore the most authentic and interesting neighborhood of the city: the Ribeira. Here you can also find good restaurants. Do you want to know where to eat in Porto? Here we give you 9 recommendations for good and cheap restaurants.

15 / The San Francisco church, the Carmelite church and the Carmo church They are other examples of the most beautiful religious buildings in the city.

16 / Take something in the Freedom Square, always very busy (and not only because of the equestrian statue of King Pedro IV!)

17 / Do not miss the Chapel of Souls.

18/ Eat, eat and eat: in Portugal the food is delicious and cheap. Our favorites? Bacalhao with cream and the Belem pastis.: de-li-cio-so!

19 / But you can't leave Porto without trying the famous Little Frenchie: an unprecedented caloric pump hehe ... It is a sandwich of ham, cheese, beef, sausage, egg and other ingredients (house surprise!)

20 / Another typical dish is the soups, it is so common to eat them that even in the McDonalds there are!

And we continue with more things to see and do in Porto
