Uff, is to start writing this post and the belly already begins to growl: talking about Cordoba food is talking about rich, rich food. How hungry for Diooooh! If you are going to travel to this beautiful Andalusian city, read on because we will give you the name of 9 restaurants to eat in Córdoba, good and cheap.

Here we leave you 20 things to see and do in Córdoba

We started strong, and it is that Taberna Góngora is synonymous with quality food, good service and recipes of Cordoba tradition that will make you want to return again and again. Here you have to try without doubt the Salmorejo (3,25€), oxtail croquettes (€ 5.25) and Fried anchovies with lemon (€ 4).

And we continue well: the Luque Tavern is a paradise for those of us who want to eat well without leaving a kidney. Here the star dish is the flamingo Homemade Iberian pork loin and Acorn ham (€ 11.90), but bull's tail and grilled squid are also recommended. So do not hesitate: if you come ... to put on your boots!

Calle Blanco Belmonte, 4

A few steps from the Mosque, in the middle of the Jewish quarter, is Casa Pepe. It may not be the cheapest place (but don't be scared, the prices are not too high!), Although their dishes are quality and cooked very well. We recommend the Aubergines with honey of cane (€ 7 half portion) and the plate of bull's tail (€ 17 the ration).

If you go through here and see queue, do not worry: it is normal and it is that at Casa Santos you eat the best potato omelette in Córdoba. And it is not only good ... it is enoooorme: each tortilla has 20 eggs 0_O when I saw it I thought it was a whole Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. It is a place without a doubt curious! The tortilla skewer costs € 2.30 and stop here and chop a couple of tapas and drink a beer is almost a must.

Calle Magistral González Francés, 3

It serves a today's menu interesting for € 8.90 which includes first, second, bread, dessert and water or wine. The dishes are homemade and simple and usually include at least one vegetarian option. For those who prefer to eat something else, the tapas menu It is quite extensive (there is also a tapas tasting menu although we found the price too high).

Calle Cardenal González, 45

A local fresh and modern that proposes a few dishes of the typical gastronomy of Cordoba, and that is that we are of the idea that to eat a pizza, you go to Naples. In Cordoba you have to eat Cordoba: salmorejo, eggplant with honey, homemade croquettes and flamenquín never fail (although there are many more options on the menu). Prices are good, calculate € 10-15 per person. Also, if you like to cook, take note of the recipes that are hung on the walls of the restaurant, surely you can get inspired!

We have to admit that we are not very fanatics of snails, but uh ... if you come to Córdoba once in a lifetime, you have to try them yes or yes. Here, in La Magdalena, some of the best in the city. There are different types (broth, picantones ...). It's cheap so if you don't know if you like them or not ... give them a chance.

We had dinner here and we loved it. Has a terrace in the Plaza de la Corredera And at night it was great. We tried salmorejo (€ 4), oxtail (€ 6) and pommel in marinade (€ 5). Everything was delicious, but the salmorejo seemed sublime! The half portions are huge, so it is better to order slowly. The man who attended us was super friendly and advised us to ask.

Sliding Square, 15

We ended up in this bar because it was recommended by the girl who rented us the Airbnb apartment and we loved it! Of course, if you go you have to like the sites with a lot of personality and little modernity haha. We tried the salmorejo (it was what we liked least), the fried eggplants (delicious), the croquettes, the breaded shrimp and the flamenquín. That said: it is a very authentic site where to eat in Córdoba and with very good prices: we pay about € 20 in total (we ask for tapas and half portions, only the whole ration of salmorejo).
