Vietnam is a gastronomic paradise: its cuisine is one of the best valued in all of Asia, and it does not surprise us. Of course, its capital does not fall short. Here we already talk to you about Vietnamese cuisine, but today we are going to recommend you 7 restaurants to eat in Hanoi Good and cheap. Bon Appetite!

And so that you don't just eat on your trip, here we tell you the 20 best things to see and do in Hanoi.

But first, let us tell you something: Eating cheap in Hanoi is super simple: On each street there are local restaurants that usually specialize in one or two dishes. In addition the prices are of laughter, in comparison with the quality of the dishes: you can eat for € 2 without problem. If you prefer to eat in tourist restaurants, ojito to those you choose: the area around the Hoan Kiem Lake It's usually VERY expensive, so look at the menu before sitting down. There are also a couple of streets in the old quarter of Hanoi (known as Beer street) with many restaurants and bars for guiris. Anyway, in these places for tourists you should not pay more than € 5-8 for a dish and a drink.

There is a plan for those who want to try all Vietnamese specialties: a gastronomic tour. It is a guided tour (in English) through the historic center of Hanoi where different local dishes are being tried.

Now, let's go with our Recommended restaurant selection in Hanoi:

They say you eat here one of the best pho bo from all over Vietnam, so we had to go check it out and well ... we don't know if it's the best, but what we can say is that it was delicious! We went to dinner (we think it only opens at night). The place is very simple, nothing glamorous, but the taste is flipant. And the best part is that the soup bowl costs 50,000 dongs (less than € 2).

If something good left the years of French colonialism in Vietnam ... it's bread! The Bánh me It is one of the most popular dishes in the country and it is essentially a snack. That, perhaps, does not sound very exciting to you now ... but after touring the country (and perhaps more areas of Asia), being able to swell the tooth of a very crispy muffin, it will be milk! The best thing is that they are very cheap (from less than € 1!) And very varied (there are also veg options).

They recommended it to us via Instagram and we have to say it was a success. The local seems old, but it has a little touch hipster that everybody likes. It is somewhat more expensive than the average of Hanoi but the letter deserves it: it specializes in ethnic cuisine so you can get a Hungarian goulash, with a Moroccan tagine, hamburgers, falafel, pasta and much more. It also has veg options, such as vegan lasagna, snacks ... Average price per person: € 7-10.

For many, this small and mythical restaurant prepares the best bun cha from Hanoi, and after passing by, our palates confirm it. The bun cha It is one of the most beloved typical dishes of Vietnam: it is essentially a soup of rice noodles, aromatic herbs and grilled pork meatballs. The most peculiar thing about the dish is that the soup has a sweet touch that we particularly love. We ordered the menu that for 90,000D that includes the bun cha and 2 Vietnamese rolls, although these did not seem too good to us, so almost better order only the soup, which is worth 60,000D.

It is a local restaurant, very simple and humble, that suddenly became very famous. The reason? Anthon Bourdain and Obama They went to dinner here! They say the food is very tasty (and prices have remained popular). The menu is not very extensive but we all recommend trying the bun cha (grilled pork with rice noodles), rolls fried or soup pho bo. We did not go as it caught us quite far, so we can not tell you firsthand what we thought, but if you like to know the curious places ... you know 😉

To top off a meal, nothing better than trying a egg coffee delicious. Egg coffee? Yes, it is a specialty of Vietnamese coffee to which a cream of egg yolk and super rich sugar is added. And if you want to do it by living an original experience, this is the best place. The Cafe A99 is a small balcony foot of the train tracks, with tiny tables and chairs, from where you can see the train pass a span of distance. Several trains pass by here every day and, although we had read that they had cut off access because of the danger of being so close to the train, we found that you can still enjoy this curious place. The price of egg coffee is 35,000D.

Come on, it's like the McDonalds of Vietnam, don't expect a craft and cuckoo site. It is what it is, but if you are wearing a jumpsuit and you have a low-cost budget, it doesn't hurt once

Don't leave Hanoi without taking one Beer jar (bia hoi) sitting on a tiny stool, in some street bar. The most typical is to go to the famous Ta Hien Street, but there are really bars everywhere announcing very cheap bia hoi: beer mugs are found from 5,000D (€ 0.20). Cheers!
