8 RESTAURANTS TO EAT IN BERLIN WELL AND CHEAP

We were very surprised at the amount of gastronomic offer which can be found in the streets of Berlin. And even more to see that eating in the German capital is NOT as expensive as we imagined: getting a low-cost bite is much easier than we expected. Today we are going to give you 8 ideas of Restaurants where to eat in Berlin well and cheaply.

This typical Bavarian restaurant proposes traditional dishes and a lot of beer, of course. When we went there was a menu of the day (only at noon) for about € 10 although if you prefer you can try some of the many specialties of the house such as: the knuckle with potatoes and sauerkraut dumplings (€ 16), goulash soup (6 , € 2), meat pie (€ 10) and much more. The dishes are plentiful and of traditional cuisine (there are some other vegetarian option). If you travel to Berlin during the oktober fest it is a good place to come to eat since, for those dates, they always organize something special ... although it is clear that if you can, you have to go to Munich 🙂

We could not try this place but we fully rely on the criteria of our friends of Our footprints the way they have lived in Berlin and have stuck to binge eating sushi in this place. Have sushi happy hour (it's really all day hehe): for the same price they serve you double! That's how nice it is, huh. And if the sushi doesn't drive you crazy, don't worry: there are ramen and meat / rice dishes that you will love. It may not be the most German gastronomic option there is but a good sushi is never said not to hehe.

New: at noon, until 4 pm, they now have a menu of the day with a main and starter dish for about € 8-10.

You know how much we like to eat pizza and if while you are in Berlin the weather is good ... don't hesitate, go to the Trattoria Portofino, choose a pizza to go and enjoy it in a park. Pizza prices: € 6-12 (they also prepare pasta and more Italian dishes).

Since we tried a huge schnitzel in Austria we are absolute fans of these battered chops. Sheers Schnitzel is a tiny place but prepares rich shnitzel and it is a perfect stop after having visited the East Side Gallery since it is very close to it. The prices are fully accessible: for € 6-9 you will be entitled to a schnitzel with potatoes / salad. The atmosphere is relaxed, local, let's go ... a great place and a great place where eat in berlin Good and cheap.

They say that if in Berlin you want a hamburger, you have to come here, in this green beach bar that is under a bridge ... literally. The menu is not very extensive but what does it matter! With € 5 you can get a delicious cheesburguer and with € 2 more toast with a rich beer. There are a few tables to sit outside ... if you go outside the most sought-after hours you may get a 😉

We ended up here by chance, strolling through the Turkish quarter. When we saw a Indian restaurant With menus for € 5.60-6.60 we don't doubt it for a moment: we were going to eat there. And it was a total success. We recommend the chicken curry with mango, delicious! With the menu they also serve pappadam with mint, spicy and yogurt sauce, a salad and a shot of mango lassi to finish the meal. Small drinks cost € 2, large drinks € 3.

Right in front is another pretty nice restaurant, the What happens, of Mexican food, of which there are several throughout Berlin.

The Mustafas is the most famous kebabs in Berlin ... and look that there are not a few 🙂 They say that the best kebab in Berlin is eaten here and after trying it we must say that it is very, very tasty! Try to arrive at somewhat odd times because during lunch / dinner it gets very crowded. Price: € 3.5-5.10 (doner or durum). It has vegetarian options too 😉

Come on, if you want eat in Berlin well and cheap you have to try a Mustafas kebab!

Leaving Berlin without proving your specialty is a crime: the Currywurst Don't be a delicatessen but it's tasty and cheap. It is essentially a wurstel accompanied by tomato sauce with curry powder, we did not attract much attention but the truth is that after trying it we became fans: it has a sweet touch that we loved. The most famous places to try it are: Curry 61 and Curry 36 although all the bars where we have eaten currywurst have been good.

Come on, if you are looking for a cheap restaurant to eat in Berlin, Curry 61 and Curry 36 are a great success.
